It’s just one full month between now and the beginning of the European ski season. So if you haven’t started doing your holiday research already, now is the time to get going!
Lots of tour operators report chalets and hotels all but sold out for February half-term: but in France availability for self-catering apartments is a little looser, largely because the French, Dutch and Belgians haven’t started booking yet. Pierre & Vacances is even running an early booking offer on its ski apartments until November 5, and school holidays are included. For example, a week from February 14-21 in the brand-new, five-star Les Terrasses d’Hélios, in Flaine, is on offer for €678-£543pp, self-catering, based on a family of four sharing a two-room apartment – a saving of 10%. The residence is ski-in ski-out and has its own indoor pool.
Apart from the ski deals we’ve listed here, it’s also worth checking for offers on the websites of the major operators such as Crystal Ski, Inghams, Mark Warner, Neilson, and Ski World. It’s always worth having a look at what the ski specialist travel agencies – such as Sno, Snowfinders, Momentum Ski and Snow-Wise – have on offer at the moment.
