From Dumplings in Austria to Doorsteps in France: the Latest Deals

With Christmas Eve falling on a Saturday, many tour operators are offering Tuesday or Friday travel over the holiday period, 9 days, or short breaks.

You can’t fail to have noticed the dates of the ski trips on offer for the December holiday period. This year the potential arrival and departure dates are pretty awkward, with the traditional Saturday changeover day making arrival in the resort on Christmas Eve and departure for home on New Year’s Eve.

It’s the same story over New Year when you could find yourself arriving on Christmas Day and going home again on New Year’s Day (both are Sundays). It’s just not that appealing.

With all that in mind, many tour operators are offering Tuesday or Friday travel – or nine days instead of seven – or even short breaks.

And, if you’re flying from Gatwick, don’t forget to reserve your airport parking at least 24 hours before you go. Cophall Parking has some offers especially for Welove2ski readers. You should also contact tour operators direct if you want a quote that doesn’t include travel from the UK.

  • Hi Felice
How can I get you to promote some offers / packages we put together for our clients? I notice there are rarely any promotions for ski holidays to Italy. This is a destination we love and know well and are pushing our clients to try if they have not done so already. We promote the value for money aspect particularly since Brexit and the devaluation of the pound.
We put tailor-made holidays together in places like Madonna di Campiglio, Selva, Champoluc, Gressoney, Alagna, La Thuile and Courmayeur. We also like Cervinia, Corvara, San Cassiano, and Arabba.

I would be more than happy to send you offers on a regular basis as I know you post these quite often.

Let me know what I have to do to get a mention.

    Kind regards
    Earl Knudsen
