Altitude Comedy Festival Line-Up Announced

Altitude Comedy Festival Mayrhofen 2026: Where Skiing Meets Stand-Up in Style

From March 30 to April 3, 2026, Mayrhofen’s mountains will come alive with the sound of laughter as the Altitude Comedy Festival returns to town. It’s your chance to combine world-class stand-up with glorious spring skiing in one unforgettable week.

There’s no better way to enjoy your après once you’ve finished carving turns than rolling straight into a comedy show that will have you laughing harder than that time Dave lost his ski on a black run. With three gigs every night, this is the festival for skiers who want to ski hard and laugh even harder.

Where is the Altitude Comedy Festival?

All the comedy action happens in Mayrhofen, Austria. Late March is the perfect time to visit, with snow-sure glacier skiing on the Hintertux, long sunny days, and a famously laid-back, friendly vibe. If you fancy testing your mettle, don’t miss the legendary Harakiri run — at 1,500 metres long and with a gradient of up to 78%, it’s the steepest groomed slope in Austria.

🎿 Ski, Laugh, Repeat: How It Works

Book your festival pass online. Early Bird tickets start at £159 (just £10.60 per show), or £199 if you miss them (still only £13.25 a show).

Your wristband gets you into all three shows, every day of the festival:

  • Après Ski Show – 17:30 at The Sports Lounge (Strass Hotel)

  • The Gala Show – 20:00 at Europahaus (on Friday, catch the special Whose in the Clown Hole Show at The Arena)

  • The Late Show – 23:00 at The Arena (Strass Hotel)

Beyond the big stages, you’ll spot comedians photobombing in lift queues, singing in bars, or shaking their Lederhosen on the dance floor at 2am. It’s a full-throttle, no-holds-barred week of giggles and glorious nonsense.

Oh My God It’s The Church: Our Heavenly Highlight

Our WeLove2Ski recommendation? Do not miss OMG It’s The Church. This gospel-meets-comedy collective is fronted by the charismatic Reverend Michael Alabama Jackson and Sister Mary Lou, serving up sinfully funny sermons, funky choir beats, and riotous audience participation. They’re so good, in fact, that our own Jim once went to a wedding they officiated — and ended up inviting the entire act for a sleepover. If that’s not a ringing endorsement, we don’t know what is.
