Skiing in November? Can you really do it? Oh yes you can. Up on the glaciers of Espace Killy one season slips seamlessly into another. By the middle of November you can usually ski from the top of the Grande Motte above Tignes all the way down to the funicular station at Val Claret – that’s a bigger vertical drop than just about any North American resort in February.
Along with ski guru Pat Zimmer and tour operator Le Ski, Welove2ski has been skiing here in November for the past 20 years. Some seasons we’ve even skied top to bottom off-piste…and that’s during the week before Espace Killy officially opens for winter.
The pre-season courses are designed to tune your technical skills before your annual holiday. That way you don’t waste the first few days getting back up to your previous level – and you progress way beyond.
How good do you need to be? The courses are aimed at anyone who can ski parallel with confidence on a blue run and is prepared to tackle a red with enthusiasm. If you are already an advanced skier, Pat’s aim is to hone your technique and push you up to the next level.
Come with your partner, with friends, or on your own to join like-minded skiers who just can’t wait for the first real blast of the season. How much does it cost? A two-and-a-half day short break costs from £659, a full week £1,159.
What’s included? Flights, transfers and chalet half-board accommodation, ski pass, intensive tuition and guiding, and evening video analysis. For details check out Le Ski Clinics.
See you there.
