Summer in the Alps

Les Gets from £65pp per night with VIP Chalets
The 100 Skies wellness event is the perfect chance for people of all ages to unwind. Hosted by Barbara (yoga teacher) and Catherine Wagner (energy therapist) there will be group workshops on July 19 – 23 with a choice of individual à la carte treatments. A variety of techniques includes yoga, Pilates and fit-ballet. Auto-hypnosis will also be available, along with other less-known practices such as wutao, qi-gong, Toltec agreements and tactile workshops using clay. The courses will be held either inside or outside in beautiful natural locations. Stay at Altitude Lodge, located just above the golf course in Les Gets. There are nine bedrooms sleeping 18-29 people, including five family rooms. Each bedroom has a flat-screen TV and some have balconies or terraces and private outdoor hot tubs. Davos for £689pp with SNO
Stay in one of Davos’ bike hotels and you’ll be well looked after as you take on the longest single-track in Switzerland: the Alps Epic Trail. Hotel Seehof is available for £689pp on the week beginning July 7, with the price including Gatwick flights, transfers and half board accommodation. It’s one of the hotels the tourist office has commended for mountain bikers, positioned by the Parsenn valley station and offering bike rental, storage and repairs. Bookings: SNO.

Morzine for £785pp with Alpine Elements
On the week commencing August 6 you can stay for 7 nights at Hotel Renariere for £785pp. The hotel has a swimming-pool and a hot tub. The first child pays half price, all other children get £50 off, there is also free kids clubs and a free active pack. Les Gets from £253pp with Peak Retreats
Save £60pp on summer holidays in Les Gets, with 14 nights in July and August staying at Les Fermes Emiguy from £253pp (it was £313pp). The four-star self-catered apartments have an indoor pool and leisure facilities, and are 300m from the resort centre. Price based on five people sharing a two-bedroom apartment that sleeps six, with July 29 arrivals, including midweek ferry crossings from Dover to Calais. Bookings: Peak Retreats.

Innsbruck hosts the Crankworx World Tour
From June 21-25 the renowned mountain-biking tournament takes to the mountains around Innsbruck in the Austrian Tirol. Here, professional riders from across the world converge at the Mutteralm Park to compete in events ranging from Downhill, Enduro, Slopestyle and Dual Slalom to Pump Track Challenges. Known as the super bowl of freeride mountain biking, Crankworx began in Whistler in 2004. To meet international standards, the Mutteralm Park is scheduled for further improvements including a new rental centre, mountain bike shop and trail. The event is free for spectators, and the number of people is expected to reach 10,000. Information: Tirol Tourism.

Tignes Christmas for £403pp with Erna Low
Stay for seven nights at Le Nevada in snow-sure Tignes for Christmas week. For a two-bedroom apartment that sleeps six it is now £2,420 (it was £2,664), which is a saving of 10%. La Rosiere from £263pp with Peak Retreats
The south-facing, family-friendly resort of La Rosiere is in the heart of the Haute Tarentaise, set in a forest on the Italian border. Stay seven nights at Chalet Les Marmottons from £263pp (it was £292pp) in four-star apartments located at the foot of the slopes by the Pre Novel chair-lift and the ski school meeting point. Book before October 31 and get 10% off selected weeks. Price based on five people sharing a two-bedroom apartment which sleeps six, with March 31 arrivals, and including standard Eurotunnel crossings with free FlexiPlus upgrades (travel supplement of £20 per car each way applies). Les Arcs from £699pp with Ski Total
Stay at Chalet Winnie in Les Arcs from £699pp (was £724pp) travelling out on January 7. Set in a convenient location three minutes’ walk to the nearest lift, and with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this chalet makes a great base. The price includes return flights from Southampton to Chambery, transfers, free use of an indoor pool and seven nights chalet catered accommodation. Bookings: Ski Total.

Val d’Isere for £416pp with Alpine Elements
On the week starting January 3 you can stay at Chalet Fjord in Val d’Isere, which is three minutes from the slopes, sleeps 42 people, and has a sauna. It now costs £416pp including flights, transfers, and half board. Bookings: Alpine Elements.

St Martin de Belleville chalet from £13,945 with The Alpine Club
There’s an early booking offer for Christmas in St Martin de Belleville, with a saving of 10% – you’ll need to book before July 30 to take advantage of it. For example, the whole of Chalet Abode (sleeps 8 + 2) is now £14,825 – the brochure price is £16,475; Chamois Lodge (sleeps 6 + 3) is now £13,945 – it was £15,495; and The Ecurie (sleeps 8) is now £14,290 – it was £15,880. The holiday price includes chalet half board on six nights, and an on-demand chauffeur service. It excludes all travel. Bookings: The Alpine Club.

Les Gets family trip from £2,279 with Esprit Ski
Stay in Chalet Justine from £569pp. Set in a quiet yet convenient location, this chalet is an attractive home from home. This price is based on a family of four, (two adults and two children aged two to ten years) from £2,279 travelling on January 7 and includes return flights from Manchester to Geneva, resort transfers, use of sauna and hot tub and seven nights chalet catered accommodation. Val Thorens has access to the 600km Les 3 Vallees skiing and you can stay for seven nights at Le Hameau du Kashmir from £365pp (it was £457pp, so save £92pp).
