Start with Pas 83 which is on the slopes and has welcoming staff and a cosy open fire. Then the pub crawl continues to Kamikaze Surf (+376 856 225) – also known as KSB – which is a restaurant/bar that overlooks the slopes and holds regular parties. Also in the Plaza dels Vaquers is El Tupi, which is another restaurant that transforms into a pub. The Underground bar doesn’t do things by halves, according to reports on Virtual Tourist: “I couldn’t believe what I saw at midnight…50 Jaegermeisters lined on the bar, on top of 50 red bulls in glasses. At 12 the bar staff set off the Jaegerbombs like a domino effect and then gave them all away for free.”

Pull your own pint or enter a world of pirates

Deja Beer is unique in Andorra in that it’s a cellar-style bar with a different beer tap on each table so you can pull your own pints. Your total litres is shown on screens around the bar with a league table for the night and the week. La Perla Negra is pirate-themed with seven big screens around the bar showing sports, a pool table, WiFi and nightly DJs. Milwaukee is the largest and most crowded bar, while Mulligans Irish Pub provides serious competition. On Monday nights there is an organised bar crawl taking you to the best bars and clubs around town.

For live entertainment visit La Marseilles. Amadeus is a disco-pub that features house and rock music, Underground plays house and dance music and is rated “good fun”. Bilboard (+376 856 236) plays more commercial music.

Other non-skiing activities

The Outdoor Centre organises paintballing in the snow and the Grandvalira Ice Circuit offers ice-driving at Port d’Envalira, a five-minute drive from Pas de la Casa. The other major activity here is shopping. Due to Andorra’s low tax and duty free prices, you’ll find a huge choice of shops and supermarkets offering everything from alcohol and perfume to clothing and electrical goods.
