It’s not just a winter wonderland – Arc 1950 in Les Arcs is once again open for summer, and it’s seriously upping its game. Discover Summer in Arc 1950

For the uninitiated, Arc 1950 is the youngest and most charming of the Les Arcs villages. Built in the style of a picture-perfect Savoie hamlet – think colourful facades, car-free cobbled streets, and a cosy alpine vibe – it blends rustic charm with all the modern comforts. The setting? Smack bang in the middle of the Paradiski area, one of the Alps’ largest playgrounds for skiers and hikers alike.

But Arc 1950 doesn’t go quiet when the snow melts. In fact, summer brings a whole new vibe. Whether you’re hiking, mountain biking, e-biking or just soaking up the mountain views with a chilled rosé, Arc 1950 serves it all with Savoyard flair.

Wednesdays Just Got a Whole Lot More Fun

This summer, the village is once again hosting its beloved “Mercredi d’Arc 1950” – eight Wednesdays packed with free activities and themed entertainment. It’s family-friendly fun at its finest: interactive workshops, quirky performances, and high-energy games that transform the whole village into a mountain carnival.

Themes change weekly – so expect everything from medieval madness to eco-explorers. It’s all completely free and tailored for families with kids (and kids at heart).

NEW for 2025: Stargazing Spectacular on August 4

New on the calendar this year is “An Evening Under the Stars” – and it promises to be cosmic. On August 4, an astrophysicist will lead guests on a live tour of the galaxy. Thanks to a high-powered telescope and real-time screen projection, visitors can explore planets, constellations, and even lunar craters without leaving the village square. Think sci-fi meets Savoie – it’s going to be out of this world.

Arc 1950 Welcomes Pro Cyclists

Arc 1950 is now officially part of the elite cycling circuit. This summer, the village signed a three-year partnership with Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale, the top-tier French cycling team. Riders will use the altitude training benefits of Arc 1950 to prep for the season – and yes, some of them will be riding the Tour de France.

Spotting a pro rider at the boulangerie just became a thing. Lycra-clad legends aside, the area also has excellent cycling routes for amateurs, plus e-bike rentals if you prefer your climbs with a little extra power.

Summer Events Galore

There’s plenty more in the Arc 1950 summer events line-up. From yoga sessions to outdoor concerts, wine tastings to trail running, the village doesn’t do boring. Whether you’re staying for a week or popping in for a day trip, there’s always something going on.
