In Sainte Foy, the ESF is the main ski school, although there are lots of alternatives. Snocool offers tailor made instruction, off-piste and heli-skiing. Tarentaise Tours has ski safaris throughout the Tarentaise valley with heli-skiing in Italy. Alex’treme is for tuition and guiding, as well as heli-skiing. Bureau des Guides de Haute-Tarentaise organises off-piste skiing, cross-country treks, and ski-touring.
It’s a family-friendly resort
The ESF runs children’s courses for ages three to 16. The youngest can attend Club Piou Piou for ages four to six years and there are also classes for 13 to 16 year olds who want to try freestyle, slalom and off-piste. Les P’tits Trappeurs (+33 479 06 97 92) runs activities such as tobogganing, snowman-making, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor games for children from three to 11 years.
