The freeze thaw conditions continue in Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland but temperatures are dropping and snow is finally on the way at the end of the week.
The sunny and dry spring-like weather continues in the Pyrenees, Andorra and southern Spain, but there’s snow on the way later in the week.

Further east, the Georgian and Turkish resorts will remain cold with 20-30cm of new snowfall through Monday, with Tetnuldi, Georgia set to receive 65-75cm of new snow through Thursday.
The weather remains wild at the Scottish resorts with high winds most probably forcing lift closures and a mix of snow, sleet and rain.
The East Coast of the US can expect temperatures well below freezing with sunny, clear skies.
After a powder filled weekend the Mountain States of the US will see below freezing temperatures and 15-20cm of new snow, with Jackson Hole, Wyoming set to receive 25-30cm.

On Japan’s main island of Honshu, most resorts will receive 15-20cm of new snow, with 25-35cm falling at Shiga Kogen.
Ski News From Around the World
In the second year of fundraising for Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK), a charity whose mission is to open snowsports to all, Iglu skiers and boarders have donated almost ten times the sum raised in the previous, inaugural year of the partnership.
At the time of booking, either online or via the Iglu Ski reservations team, those booking ski holidays are invited to contribute £1 per passenger for the benefit of Disability Snowsport UK. Total sums raised this ski season to date are £3,704.
This means that 247 adults and children will be enabled to enjoy a ski session on a UK slope, bringing smiles, self-confidence and the opportunity for friendships, built on sport.
A word from the CEO of Disability Snowsport UK, Virginia Anderson: ‘Snowsport is such a great way of getting out and trying something new, having fun and challenging yourself. These opportunities for disabled children and adults can be life changing as well as a lot of fun. We’re so grateful to Iglu Ski and their customers for helping make this happen from Cairngorm to Hemel Hempstead.’
Congratulations to British snowboarder Mia Brookes who won gold in the Slopestyle competition at the X Games in Aspen, Colorado.
The 17-year-old world champion posted a winning score of 97.66 on her second run to take top spot in an eight-strong field of riders.
Meanwhile in Gudauri, Georgia Charlotte Bankes produced a stunning finish to win her first snowboard cross gold of the World Cup season.
Bankes, 28, was in last place after a slow start, but came through to beat France’s Chloe Trespeuch on the line.
GB’s Marcus Wyatt has been crowned European champion in the Men’s Skeleton in Sigulda, Latvia. The 32-year-old finished second in Friday’s World Cup race and was the top European in the field.
