Ski News From Around the World
At the end of January, Sean Manley of Black Diamond UK headed to the Snowsport Industries of Great Britain Snow Test 2024 at La Clusaz, France to show the latest Black Diamond products and test products from other manufacturers.
It was a mixed bag of weather in resort, but a perfect range of conditions in which to put the latest snow gear through their paces.
On his return to the UK he thought his season was done but over the past three days the Central Beacons Massif around Pen-y-Fan in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons National Park), Wales has seen the first real snowfall of the season.
With no lift infrastructure it was time for Sean and his ski partner and photographer for the day Christian Morris to strap their skis to their backpacks and make the 90-minute walk to the summit.
They weren’t disappointed with Christian catching this epic shot of Sean. And Sean’s Black Diamond skis? They passed with flying colours.
