Where to Learn in Les Deux Alpes | Welove2ski

Les Deux Alpes has a wide choice of ski schools. The ESF and ESI St Christophe are the main teaching establishments. The British-run European Ski and Snowboard School offers tuition in English for classes of up to four pupils. Ski Privilege (+33 476 792344) and British-run Easiski are alternatives. Race-training is with Stages Pierre Alain Carrel (+33 476 80 51 99) and Stages Damien Albert. Guiding is through Bureau des Guides ESF.

With Maison Sport in Les 2 Alpes, you’ll get personalized instruction to take on its legendary glacier and varied pistes.

Excellent for children

L2A has the coveted Les P’tits Montagnards award from the French government for excellence in childcare.

Creche Les 2 Alpes 1800 (+33 476 79 02 62) cares for children aged six months to two years. Garderie Le Bonhomme de Neige (+33 476 79 06 77) looks after children from two to six years. Espace Luge is a children’s play area at the base of the mountain with a trampoline, slalom course, snow-biking, tobogganing, tubing and an inflatable bob-run. The ESF runs ski kindergartens in the village, at Champameand at Les Crêtes, with lessons for little ones from three years combined with fun in the snow and indoor play and videos. ESI St Christophe is for children up to eight years. The European Ski and Snowboard School also runs classes for children.

The resort already has an excellent snowpark in the Toura area, a kids park and a Slide area with gully, canyons and waterfalls. But for the winter of 2012-13, the freestyle area has been extended and adapted for families who want to learn and have fun. The new playground will include moguls, jumps, a mini-pipe and small handrails. It will be an area for all ages and levels to try tricks.
