Where to Party in Neustift

This isn’t party central. “The village is very quiet, not buzzing with much nightlife at all”, complained one reader of Neustift. Aumis Pub (+43 5226 3613), Rossini (+43 2556 30 500 50) and Dorf Pub Bar are the main meeting places in the village. Then there’s Umbrellabar & Disco Mutterberg (+43 5226 8116) at the glacier base, Hully Gully (+43 2556 2888) which has table-dancing, and the Tanzlokal Nachtkast’l in Hotel Jagdhof, which is the other late-night spot.

The other villages

In Fulpmes, Café Corso Disco Bar (+43 5225 63442), Kuhstall Pub & Café (+43 5225 64867), Leo’s Stadl Bar, the Café Tatort (+43 5225 63666), and Kla4 Bar & Restaurant (+43 5225 63744) provide the action. In Mieders, the main nightspots are Stadl Bar with bowling and serving food, and Hochserles Schirmbar.

Other non-skiing activities include the Neustift leisure centre with its indoor swimming-pool, tennis and squash. Entrance is free with a lift pass. There’s also tobogganing on a 9km run – the longest in Tirol, sleigh rides, ice-skating, curling, bowling and paragliding. Day trips can be made to the nearby city of Innsbruck for shopping and a wide choice of bars and restaurants.
