Snowshoe Sam’s is the main resort rendezvous, with a great pub atmosphere and its famous Gunbarrel Coffee, pool tables, dancing, games, DJs and live bands all on offer here. The owners of The Globe Cafe & Tapas Bar have recently opened an Irish style pub. Raakels has DJs or live music most nights. As this is very much a family resort, after-skiing activities are varied and include carnival nights, craft nights, and a kids’ climbing wall. Or you could visit the Happy Valley Adventure Park, which features ice-skating, ice-hockey, North America’s only ice-climbing tower, dog-sledding, mini z’s (kids’ snowmobiling), and snow-shoeing. Highlight is tubing on the Mega Snow Coaster, where specially groomed lanes allow all ages to enjoy a high-speed ride down the slopes and a lift back to the top.
