“The accommodation is the best we have come across in North America,” said a reporter. We wouldn’t go that far, but all of it adjoins the piste and includes a range of pleasant condos. The resort is an ideal choice for families, with all the accommodation being close to the shops and restaurants and an easy walk to the kids clubs and ski school meeting place.

The most comfortable accommodation can be found in Chateau Big White, which is the resort’s best address, completely ski-in ski-out at the top of the village. It has an outdoor hot tub and a small spa. Stonebridge Lodge is a development of condo-style suites. It is ski-in ski-out and located on a beginner run in the centre of the village and has fitness facilities and an outdoor ‘mineral spa’. The Big White Condos are dotted throughout the resort and include luxury accommodation such as the Copper Kettle Lodge. All the condos have cable TV, well-equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, and access to private hot-tubs. Sundance Lodge is, like most places here, ski-in ski-out. The ski-in ski-out Stonebridge Lodge is one of Big White’s newest and more luxurious self-catering properties.

More moderate choices include the Inn at Big White, which is the only hotel in the village with an outdoor heated swimming-pool. The views from here are fabulous. Whitefoot Lodge is centrally located, with budget prices. White Crystal Inn is in a good location and offers large family rooms.
