Now that the peak holiday week is here, if you haven’t opted to ski at this time of year maybe you’re considering a week of spring skiing? As well as taking a look at the deals below, it’s also worth having a look at what the ski specialist travel agencies have on offer, such as SNO, Snowfinders and Ski in Luxury. Most of the major tour operators have ski holiday deals available throughout the winter, too.

Make sure you stay safe: take local advice, book a qualified guide, and have all the necessary equipment with you before even considering leaving the marked piste.

End of February/beginning of March

Neustift for £1,140pp with SNO
Save £498pp on a trip to the luxury Spa Hotel Jagdhof in Neustift on the week starting February 29. Reduced from £1,638pp to £1,140pp, the seven-night package to the Stubai Valley includes half-board catering, Gatwick flights and resort transfers. The five-star Relais and Châteaux hotel is home to the 3000 square metre jSPA with indoor and outdoor pools, 20 types of bath and more. Bookings: SNO.

Val d’Isere from £889pp with Ski Total
There’s a seven-night holiday on a catered basis at the Chalet Bonnevie in Val d’Isere from £889pp. Price represents a saving of £130pp and includes return flights from Birmingham to Geneva and airport transfers. The package is valid for travel departing on March 1. Bookings: Ski Total.

Val Thorens for £325pp with Erna Low
Save 20% on selected apartments in Val Thorens staying at Residence Cheval Blanc, which has great value three-star apartments in an ideal location next to the nursery slopes. Book a self-drive package for seven nights from February 29, including one-bedroom four-person apartment and Flexiplus Eurotunnel crossing for £325pp based on four sharing (includes 20% off accommodation, full price £1,557). Avoriaz from £1,300pp with VIP SKI
Chalet Ipaka enjoys a great location in the centre of Avoriaz whilst remaining peaceful. The interior blends sophsticated luxury with Alpine influences and sleeps up to six people. A seven-night stay, starting February 23 at Chalet Ipaka costs from £1,300pp (reduced from £1,609pp) including chalet board catering, return flights from Gatwick and transfers. Bookings: VIP SKI.

End of March

Sainte Foy from £155pp with Peak Retreats
Sainte Foy offers families and mixed-ability groups some great skiing and off-piste opportunities. Stay at the Etoile des Cîmes in the heart of the resort and at the foot of the slopes. The three-star superior residence offers quality self-catered apartments with additional facilities such as child and teen clubs, breakfast service (payable), free access to the indoor pool and Ô Pure Spa centre. There’s £150 off a four-bedroom Premium apartment (sleeps up to 10) on the week commencing March 28. So seven nights is £155pp based on nine sharing (was £172pp) including return Eurotunnel crossings with free FlexiPlus upgrade for two vehicles. Bookings: Peak Retreats.

La Tania for £549pp with Ski Beat
There’s a week’s fully hosted ski holiday on March 28, with a saving of £270pp including return Gatwick flights and transfers, or you can take a ‘no-fly’ holiday and drive to the Alps, saving £420pp on the original flight-inclusive price. The price of £699pp by air (was £969pp) includes a week’s stay at Chalet Jennifer in La Tania, chalet board. Self-drive is £549pp, saving £420pp. Bookings: Ski Beat.

Les Menuires for £226pp with Ski Collection
Set at 1850m, Les Menuires is a sunny west-facing resort, situated above the smal traditional resort of St Martin de Belleville and just below the snow-sure resort of Val Thorens. The resort is known for its friendliness and great terrain for all abilities. Stay in le Hameau de la Sapinière in the Reberty area, a four-star residence of self-catered apartments with doorstep skiing. The property offers access to the spa with hot tub, steam room, sauna and treatment room. There’s 30% off the week commencing March 28. So seven nights in a two-bedroom apartment is £226pp based on four sharing (was £298pp) including return Eurotunnel crossings with free FlexiPlus upgrades. Bookings: Ski Collection.
