Half term is over, so how about a week of spring skiing? As well as taking a look at the deals below, it’s also worth having a look at what the ski specialist travel agencies have on offer, such as SNO, Snowfinders and Ski in Luxury. Most of the major tour operators have ski holiday deals available throughout the winter, too.

Make sure you stay safe: take local advice, book a qualified guide, and have all the necessary equipment with you before even considering leaving the marked piste.

Obertauern from £669pp with Inghams
Obertauern in the Salzburgerland has one of the longest seasons in the Alps, with queue-free skiing, lively apres-ski and ski-in ski-out hotels. A seven-night holiday on a half-board basis at four-star Hotel Marietta from £669pp. Price represents a saving of £370pp and includes return flights from Gatwick to Salzburg and resort transfers. Val d’Isere luxury chalet from £849pp
Stay at the luxury catered Chalet Kanjiroba in Val d’Isere from £849pp (saving £503pp). The property dates back to the 1700s and is located on a quiet lane in La Daille, three minutes’ walk from the lifts. Montgenevre for £165pp with Peak Retreats
The historic ski resort of Montgenevre offers cross-boarder skiing between France and Italy in the Mont de la Lune ski area. With 110km of slopes there’s plenty of skiing for all levels from gentle nursery slopes to ample off-piste terrain, making this a perfect resort for mixed skiing ability groups and families. The residence offers doorstep skiing and is 200m from the Chalvet cable-car. Facilities include free access to the outdoor heated pool, and Aqua Relaxation Area. Chamonix for £904pp with SNO
Most of the Easter bank holidays by booking a trip departing on Thursday April 9. Seven nights at Hotel Le Morgane in Chamonix costs £904pp, with Edinburgh flights, transfers and breakfasts included. The four-star boutique hotel is positioned in the centre of town, 100 metres from the Aguille du Midi cable-car. Flaine for £257pp with Erna Low
Save 20% at Les Terrasses d’Helios in Flaine, which are luxurious apartments in a quiet location amongst the trees. The piste runs through the residence for direct access to the whole Grand Massif area. Meribel has plenty of bars and restaurants, and links on snow to the many other resorts in the 3 Valleys. The property offers a children’s area, restaurant, bar and terrace, and access to the indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, wellness area with spa. La Plagne self-drive for £449pp with Ski Beat
Self-drive to the Alps on March 7 and save £480pp on the original flight-inclusive price of £929pp on a week’s stay in the heart of Plagne 1800. It now costs £449pp, or you can fly from Manchester or Gatwick for £649pp, saving £280pp. Accommodation is in the homely Chalet Florence with chalet board accommodation. Bookings: Ski Beat.
