If you have’t yet decided where to eat your turkey and pull your crackers this year, think skiing. This winter the seven-day cycle of December 25 is at its penultimate worst for package ski holidays, with Boxing Day on a Saturday. Barely have you had time to digest the Christmas pud – and please don’t mention the hangover – before you are bundled on to a coach for the pre-dawn airport transfer.

Of course, not all tour operators have their changeover day on Saturdays, but with Christmas falling at the end of the week, combined with the no-snow situation last year, tour operators are struggling to sell it.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that 90% of our December deals this week are for the first week of the festive season. Prices may go lower yet, but can you afford to wait? There are some great bargains to be found right now.

And don’t forget to book your airport parking at least 24 hours before you go. If you’re flying from Gatwick, Cophall Parking has some offers especially for Welove2ski readers.

Due to readers’ requests, we now also have our ski holiday prices in euros (with the exchange rate correct at the time of writing), although you should contact tour operators direct for a quote that doesn’t include travel from the UK.
