Sadly, following the massive rise in the value of their currency, there isn’t a bargain Swiss holiday here this week. But back in the eurozone we have some great offers. Uncertainty over snow cover means there’s even some availability over half-term. With a big dump forecast for this weekend, now is a good time to book.

Alpe d’Huez studio from £490 with Pierre & Vacances
There are savings of up to 20% on French ski holidays booked before January 21. The sale covers trips booked between January and April in the Residence L’Ours Blanc, located in the heart of Alpe d’Huez. The price is £490 (saving 20% on £613) for a four-person studio, based on a seven-night stay arriving March 14. Flights from Gatwick to Geneva are currently priced at £63 with easyJet.
