We’re still getting in lots of lovely summer mountain deals so, if you can’t wait for the ski season to come around, you could try some cycling or MTB, hiking, golf and myriad other activities – or just a bit of relaxation in the healthy mountain air.

Summer in The Alps

Seefeld from £449pp with Inghams
Situated above the Inn Valley 10 miles from Innsbruck, Seefeld is a large bustling village offering something for everyone, with walking to suit all levels. Stay seven nights half board at the three-and-a-half star Hotel Alpina from £449pp (565€), which is a saving of £189pp (238€). Morzine from from £450pp with VIP Chalets
July 23 will see the resort become the finale of the second-last stage of the famous Tour-de-France in Morzine. The backdrop of rolling hills and mountains will be the perfect accompaniment to some world-class cycling. Not only will the Tour be passing through Morzine, but two weeks before, you can also take part in the renowned Etape du Tour on July 10. Each year, this event allows amateur cyclists the chance to ride the same route as the pro riders of the Tour de France, on closed roads. Although the Lipizzaner horse is closely associated with the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, its breed actually dates back to 16th-century Slovenia. This is just one of the many discoveries you will make on the Emerald Route cycling tour, which begins in the capital city of Ljubljana before heading through flat marshland and mountain scenery to the coastal town of Piran. Kitzbuhel from £432pp with Thomson Lakes
Stay for a week half board at the four-star Hotel Jaegerwirt in Kitzbuhel. The Hahnenkamm gondola is an easy walk away. From £432pp (544€) – which is a saving of 40%.
