Whether in winter or summer, it’s hard to beat a week’s holiday in the mountains. If you can’t wait for the ski season to come around then why not book a holiday in the Alps with some cycling or MTB, hiking, golf and myriad other activities – or just a bit of relaxation among gorgeous surroundings?

An Alpine Summer

Zell am See for yoga for £529 with Crystal Summer
Yoga enthusiasts, from beginners to advanced, can enjoy a session with yoga trainer, Erika Zehentner, just below the Schmitten mountain summit. There are six dates when Erika is holding her sessions: July 11, 18, 22 and 29; August 5 and 8. Yoga starts at 9am, lasts for around two hours and is included in the price of the cable-car ticket. Alpe d’Huez and the Tour de France for £999pp with VIP Chalets
The chance to watch one of the most legendary climbs in cycling history is too good to miss. The famous 21-hairpin, 13.8km-long climb has been a mainstay of the Tour de France since 1952. Kirchberg junior camp from £377pp with Bike Academy
In July and August the Kurt Exenberger Bike Academy offers a four-day junior mountain bike camp for children aged between seven and 14 years to explore the Kitzbuhler Alps. With the highly-trained instructors, children will gain solid bike riding skills and technical training, single trail tour, downhill, and a session in the Bike Park. Meanwhile parents can enjoy walking or cycling themselves.

Stay at the four-star Hotel Braeuwirt in Kirchberg from €525 (£377) per adult and from €529 (£380) for per child (ages seven to 11 years) or from €599 (£431) per child (aged 12-14 years), when sharing a family room.
